Tampere kuplii comics festival is this weekend and i will be there sharing a table with ~Nieidanine at Pienlehtimarssi. I'm hoping to have a new ink booklet to sell and a couple new posters.

Also, there will be a bonus! I'm moving at the end of April and i've been going through my stuff and found in my drawer these embarassingly old sketchbooklets (2007-2008). I want to get rid of them and decided to give them as an extra if you buy something from me for 6 euros and mention you follow me here or Tumblr.

Uutena juttuna vähän harkitsin että jos piirtäisin pöllöjä tilauksesta, mutta kun tää jäi näin viime tinkaan, niin saas nähä. Ainahan sitä vois piirustuslehtiön ja Copicit raahata mukana, eipä siinä mitään häviäisi kokeilla.

Lauantaina illasta oon puhumassa Eredin vetämässä fanitaidepaneelissa ja jänskättää taas ihan pirusti, esiintyminen ei oo ollut mun vahvoja puolia ikinä. Mut viimeksikin selvisin paneelista hengissä, joten uskon selviäväni nytkin!

Yay, on thursday i'll pick up my owl posters, postcards and stickers from the printing house. Can't wait to see them!

I decided it would be easier for me to put everything sale on Etsy, i'm too absentminded to keep track orders on different sites. So after this i won't take any new poster orders here. Those who have already reserved their poster or stickers will of course get them through here.

I'll write a new journal entry after i have my Etsy shop ready.

I don't even have words to describe how astonished i am about the amount of attention my precious owls have received! My dashboard on Tumblr has gone mad, it's been all blue after i posted owls there yesterday.

Se olisi taas taidekujakausi alkamassa, tosin minun osalta se on ens kesänä vähän vajavainen kun näillä näkymin ainoat tapahtumat, joihin kovasti on yritys, ovat Tampere kuplii ja Tracon. Tampere kupliista onkin jo pöytä, tuttuna kokoonpanona minä, ~maria-neiti ja ~Nieidanine. Desuconista jäi varmaan sekunneista kiinni pöydän saaminen ja ilman pöytää on vähän turhan tyyris reissu mulle tällä budjetilla.

Mutta niin, se perinteinen ikuisuuskysymys! Olisko toiveita mitä haluaisitte nähdä multa myytävänä? Tai pitäskö muotoilla että mitä haluaisitte ostaa. Pöllöpinssejä on tottakai tulossa, ellen tässä onnistu vielä sössimään mun aikatauluja. Edellisvuoden postikortteja on vielä joitain jäljellä, tosin pari kisua ja korppiparvi on ainakin loppu, mutta en tiiä onko niistä sit järkeä ottaa uutta erää kun meniskö niitä enää tänä kesänä niin paljoa. Pöllökortteja ja -julistettakin on varmasti tulossa uutena, just tuossa värittelin hyvää satsia pöllösiä. ^___^ Jos kiinnostaa jo vähän kurkkia mitä on luvassa, niin kantsii käydä tsekkaamassa mun tumblr, sieltä löytyy pöllöjen luonnoksia.

Tästä mulla on jäljellä vissiin vielä yks oikean kokoinen (29,7cm x 84,1cm) ja pari vähän liian lyhyttä versiota, mutta oon vähän vaiheilla että jaksanko laittaa niitä esille kun toi vie niin paljon tilaa. Jos joku on kiinnostunut, niin voi varata ja mä voin tuoda mukanani!


Tässä vaiheessa kannattaa myös ilmaista mielenkiintonsa jos joku tietty työ sattuu kiinnostamaan postikorttina tai julisteena, pystyn varmaan samalla painattamaan jotain sellaistakin jota en välttis muuten olisi kujalle ottamassa.

Next mission is to take photos of medusa badges and owl magnets, but i don't know when that's going to happen, because of lack of light in here lovely, lovely gloomy Finland.

If you have ever considered ordering a commission from me, now would be a great time. Because my cheap tablet died. Or to be specific, its pen broke and they don't sell only pens. I don't want to buy another cheap piece of junk which last another year or so and then falls apart again, i want a Wacom. And even Bamboo costs so much. ;_____;

I haven't thought exact prices, it depends so much about size, medium and details. A rough estimate for A5 and A4 sizes would be something like this:

Sketches, 10€ with one character without background
Inked, 15€ with one character without background
Colored starts from 20 € with one character without background
Colored with one character and simple background 25 €
Colored with one character and detailed background 35 €
Collages starts 30 € with one character

I also can do ACEOs, depending medium 10-15 €

And i can't sketch or color digital before i can afford that new tablet -____-. So traditional it will be.

Then i have to thank all who visited our table at Artist alley in Tracon. It was an awesome con and there was so many nice people. <3 For my surprise i sold almost all of my owl badges! I was trying to be smart and made them enough so i could sell rest of them at Helsinki Comics Festival, but now i had to make a new batch for next weekend. But i don't complain, it's great that people love them. <3

I've been more active on Tumblr [link] lately because i've been lazy and not finished anything. Excepts owls.

Se olis taas viikon päästä Tracon ja taidekujailua luvassa. Ollaan taas tutulla kokoonpanolla liikenteessä, joten pöydästä löytyy mun lisäksi ~maria-neiti ja ~Nieidanine, eli kaupan päälle voi saada huonoa huumoria. <3 Mä jatkan mun maailmanvalloitusta pöllöjen kanssa, adoptoivana on värillisiä ja mustavalkoisia pinssejä, kumpiakin tällä kertaa isona että pienenä! Muutama meduusakin on joukkoon soluttautunut, koska meduusat on vaan niin mahtavia otuksia.  Julisteita on kans sekä Kakkua? -sarjista edelleen ja maanantaina laitan kortit painoon, joten tarjolla on sit uunituoreita postikorttejakin. ^____^ Jos on jotain tiettyä, mitä tahtosit esim. printtinä, niin nyt olis viime hetken toiveiden paikka.

Lauantaina varmaan hengaillaan illallakin paikan päällä, jos nyt ei myymässä, niin varmaan jossain taidekujan liepeillä kattelemassa löytyskö piirtoseuraa.

Traconin jälkeisellä viikolla olis kiva kans jos löytys motivaatioseuraa, Nieidanine on täällä kans. Mun luokse voi tulla jos kissat ei oo ongelma tai me voidaan liikkua hyvin kans johonkin päin Tamperetta. Uusiin ihmisiin on kiva tutustua ja ennestään tuttuihin on kiva tutustua paremmin, mä en ainakaan pure ketään. ^____^ Ennemmin tuppaan olemaan vähän sosiaalisesti varautunut kun jännitän aina uusia ihmisiä, mutta siks onkin kiva kun näkee ihmisiä uudestaan, alan rentoutua sit ja jutella vapautuneemmin kun en pelkää (niin paljoa) että miten idiootin kuvan annan itestäni. Tykkään kuitenkin kamalasti olla sosiaalinen, hengailla, piirrellä ja jakaa oman harrastuksen toisten kanssa. Ollut mahtavaa kun viimeisen vuoden sisällä on löytynyt piirtoiltoihin seuraa, nyt vaan ihan tyhmistä kun tää syksy näyttää autiolta ku vakiseurasta toinen muutti pois, toinen lähtee vaihtoon. Ois kiva löytää Tampereelta lisää seuraa. Eikä se piirtäminen ole mikään ehdoton edellytys, idea on puuhailla jotain omaa luovaa yhdessä, mulle nuo illat on välillä niitä tervetulleita hetkiä kun saa hyvällä omatunnolla keskittyä omiin juttuihin eikä tarvii miettiä se on jostain muusta pois. Piirtoilta on vaan niin helppo sana käyttää, luova ilta tuo mulle mieleen kulttuuritantat, eh.

There's less than a month to Tracon and it is time to start that owl madness again. Tonight i'm going to paint base coat on badges, so now would be excellent time to make wishes if you have ever thought why there isn't owl badges in -insert color/s here-. I can also take request if you have something special in mind.

I am also thinking new prints, but haven't decided yet what should i do. Maybe more Ink Cats (like these [link] , [link] ), Ink Ravens (like this [link] ) and Ink Owls ([link] as a postcards or bookmarks. I propably could do A3 poster sized ravens, but i'm not sure... Last artist alley some people wanted smaller sized prints (A5!), so i'm wondering if i should try them. Why it is always so hard to try guess what people want?

Oh, and i am so nervous and excited same time, i'm taking part in artist alley panel discussion at Tracon.

What's wrong with DeviantArt? First i get this "1 Note" message which won't go away and there's no new notes. Now it lost comments and views from my newest deviation. -_____- I'm growing so tired to these kind of minor malfunctions, i don't even begin with Tumblr where it's propably up to spirits of dataloss when they are gracious enough to show all notes and messages.

And aaaaargh this hot and humid weather! I realised that tolerate pretty well if weather is only hot, but i fucking lost my sanity when it's hot and humid, then i exist only to wait next thunderstorm and that a little cooler and fresher moment after that. THERE WASN'T ANY PROMISED THUNDERSTORMS YESTERDAY!

I have so many ideas in my head and oh dear pure joy, i finally have time just to draw/paint them on paper! But first i'm going with my girlfriend to her parents place to celebrate midsummer. I don't know if i'm getting old or what, but this summer i've yearned for country, out of hot and dusty city more than earlier. I want to go somewhere near to lake and nature where isn't busy people and i could do something physical work, not just sit front of computer.

Desucon was fun, thanks to everyone who visited at our table! ^___^ I'm considering to put rest of owl badges and magnets to Etsy, maybe it would be the easiest way to sell them. But that would also mean that i'd have to raise the price, because Etsy takes listing and transaction fees and if i'm correct, Paypal takes also some small fee and then postage... But no worries, i'll sell them at cons for same price as before.

Oh, and someone forgot her copy of my "Kakkua?"-comic to our table at Desucon! ;_____; I'd really like to know who she is so i could send it to her! Maria sold it while i was away from our table, so i don't have no clue who bought it and i couldn't try to find buyer at con by myself. I also have a small owl badge found from BakaCon, someone lost it to Agricola, it is sitting lonely at my desk.

Ens viikolla olis taas piirtoiltaa suunnitteilla *Fjodorin kanssa, joko hänen luonaan tai tännekin pääsee tai jos tulee mieleen joku muu paikka, niin voi ehdottaa vapaasti. Perinteisesti ollaan juotu teetä, piirretty ja lärpätelty siinä lomassa niitä näitä, joten ihan rentoa meininkiä luvassa. Ketään ei kieroon katota ja kaikki ovat tervetulleita mukaan jos piirtelyhengailu kuulostaa hyvältä tavalta viettää iltaa. Aikaa ei olla vielä lyöty lukkoon, mulla ei pitäs olla ens viikolla mitään ihmeitä niin sopii viikolla että viikonloppuna. Kujanjuoksuun olen kans pistänyt viestiä (Tampereelta motivaatioseuraa -keskustelu), jos haluaa sielläkin seurata tätä innokkaiden tulvaa. Eh. [link]

Ah, deadline panic, how i missed you. <3 Really. Because it's when i get work done. Nothing too serious this time, just trying to draw new prints to Desucon. I have already few ready, but i have few ideas which i'd like to get on paper.
